East Course for Journalists 2012, Germany

The Institut zur Förderung publizistischen Nachwuchses e.V. organizes a training for German-speaking journalists from Central and Eastern Europe (East Course 2012) from July 15th to August 3rd, 2012, in Munich, Germany. Young journalists from Central and Eastern Europe can apply for the three-week training seminar focused on strengthening and deepening the skills of young journalists.
Seminar content
Research methods and how to deal with the various forms of journalism (news, reports) and the press photo are practiced under the guidance of experienced instructors. The training will focus on “interview on radio and television” but will also provide insight into the broadcasting work. The successful conclusion of the seminar will be confirmed by a certificate.

Eligibility

Applications are invited from journalists who:
  • are working full-or part-time in the press, radio or television;
  • are proficient in German;
  • are 19-32 years of age;
  • have a positive attitude to democratic, humanistic and religious values.
The seminar will be in German. All participants must therefore be able to search in German, to conduct interviews and write articles. This training is not a German language course!

Remuneration

Organizers cover accommodation, meals and training costs. Transportation is covered by the participants.
