Job opening for a junior researcher*

The research group “Comparative Politics, Interdependence, and
Globalization” (Prof. Dr. Christian Martin) at the Political Science
Department of the University of Kiel, Germany, invites applications for a
6-months stipend. The stipend will be used to develop a research proposal
for your doctoral thesis and to apply for external funding (grants,
stipends, fellowships) that will support the successful applicant’s
dissertation, a process we have had success in before.



*Your profile:*

You are a young aspiring scholar who wishes to work towards a doctoral
degree in political science. You hold a master’s degree in political
science or a neighboring discipline. Your strong interest in research
methods shows in your master’s thesis and/or other work. You will be
working on a dissertation project that revolves around a topic chosen from
the realm of comparative politics, interdependence, or globalization,
broadly defined.



*What we offer:*


  - ·        Stipend for six month with an approximate net salary of
  900.00 EUR per month, depending on your specific situation.
  - ·        Work as part of an aspiring team of young scholars with an
  international orientation
  - ·        Support for your grant proposal through proposal development
  and direct assistance preparing the applications (including direct
  knowledge of grants, deadlines and application procedures), with a proven
  success record
  - ·        Supervision of your dissertation project in a work
  environment with flat hierarchies and openness to new ideas and initiatives
