Description
The main objective of Summer School is to offer a high-profile study course for students currently enrolled in Master’s degree programs, based on presentations, interactive workshops and simulations with international security experts from academia and government fields.

- NATO-Russia relations
- NATO’s smart defence and operations
- Russia’s defence capabilities

Jiří Schneider, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Czech Republic; Dr. Andrew Monaghan, Research Advisor, NATO Defence College, Italy; Kier Giles, Director, Conflict Studies Research Center, U.K.; Marek Menkiszak, Head of Russian Department, Center for Eastern Studies, Poland; Jiří Šedivý, First Deputy Minister of Defense, Czech Republic; Martin Povejšil, Czech Ambassador to NATO, Belgium.
Eligibility
Students currently enrolled in Master’s degree programs in Political Science, International Relations and Economics and other relevant fields from NATO’s member and partner countries.
Venue
The event will be held between July 8 – 13, 2012 in Telč, Czech Republic.
Registration fee amounts to 2000,- Kc / 80 EUR. Accommodation and meals will be fully covered by organizers; foreign participants’ travel expenses will be partially reimbursed (not applicable to those selected students from the Czech Republic or Slovakia).
