International School for Social and Business Studies (ISSBS) invites you to participate at Summer School 2012: Innovation in Business – Environmental Challenges which will be held in Celje, Slovenia from 25 June to 6 July 2012. Summer School’s main focus will be on practical development of participants’ creative thinking and innovation in the field of Entrepreneurship and International Business.
Summer School will be carried out in English and will be based on creative teaching methods, including Innovation Workshop, Teamwork and Creativity Workshop and Simulation of Market Developments Workshop which will enable and help participants to identify and pursue international business opportunities. After the successful completion of Summer School’s study obligations each participant will receive 6 ECTS in study course Innovation in Business.
Participants will be faced with real business challenges provided by participating companies, which stem from their activity on domestic and foreign markets. Participants will become acquainted with issues of sustainable development in the field of management of drinking and waste water, renewable energy, and to identify potential business-innovative approaches in this field. Solutions from participant’s group project work will then be presented to the representatives of the participating companies.
Participation of students from different European countries is anticipated. Expected results of Summer School 2012 are motivated participants with a developed skill for a different approach to business ideas and a gained knowledge of implementation of their ideas in an international environment.

Eligiblity
Summer School 2012 has 35 application places for foreign and Slovenian participants.
Participants must be undergraduate or postgraduate students (relating to academic year 2011/2012)
Venue
Summer School 2012 will be held in International School for Social and Business Studies, Celje, Slovenia from 25 June to 6 July 2012.
There is a Tuition Fee in the amount of 240 EUR. All participants have to pay Registration Fee of 100 EUR that covers social activities (study visits, picnic, closing ceremony, welcome package, study materials …)
Accommodation:
Accommodation will be organised by ISSBS in the nearby MCC Hostel. Students pay for their own accommodation approximately 180-240 EUR (student can also arrange their own accommodation).
Travel costs:
Students cover their own travel costs.
Important note:
There is a possibility that ISSBS receives funding from European Social Fund and the Ministry of Higher Education. In this case there will be no tuition fee and student accommodation will also be covered. The only cost students will have to pay would be the registration fee. We are expecting this information to be known very soon and we will inform all applicants about this information as soon as we receive it. In any case students cover their own travel costs.
